June 7, 1964Educated at the Emils Darzins Special School of Music (1971-1982) and the Latvian Academy of Music in Prof, Gederts Ramans' Composition Class (1982-1987); Master's Degree program in composition completed in 1992 in Prof. Peteris Plakidis' class. Attended one month Master Class taught by Prof. S.D. Sandstroem at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. In 2001 graduated from Latvian Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra and Opera Conducting Class (Prof. V. Gailis).
In 1986 assumes teaching position at Emils Darzins
