EUBOMembers of EUBO come from all over the EU to gain performing experience, working with the world’s finest baroque specialists who nurture and influence the young musicians with their individual charismatic mixture of leading, educating and performing. In 2018, under the guidance of Music Director Lars Ulrik Mortensen and guest directors Bojan Cicic and Amandine Beyer, EUBO will perform throughout the EU, in Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, and the UK. Tours take the talented young musicians to all corners of Europe – from celebrated city concert halls, to seaside summer festivals, to monasteries nestling in autumnal forests, and to winter celebrations in beautiful churches. And at the centre of these great arcs of European travelling EUBO is ‘orchestra-in-residence’ in AMUZ, Antwerp (BE), where it highlights the city’s baroque heritage and is creating a centre of excellence for baroque performance, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union for the European year of Cultural Heritage 2018. EUBO has been honoured with the status of Cultural Ambassador for the European Union in perpetuity.
