Riccardo Minasi

Riccardo Minasi Riccardo Minasi was born in Rome in 1978. He regularly has performed in all of Europe, U.S.A., Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Morocco, Australia, New Zealand, Israel and Japan, in the most prestigious halls such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, Konzerthaus and Musikverein in Vienna, Barbicane in London, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Chatelet and Salle Pleyel in Paris, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, S. Cecilia in Rome, Teatro S. Carlo in Naples and many more.

Specializing in the musical repertoire from the Renaissance to the Classicism period, he is among the most frequently invited “concertmaster” in Europe by conductors such as Jordi Savall for “Le Concert des Nations”, Ottavio Dantone for “Accademia Bizantina”, Rinaldo Alessandrini for “Concerto Italiano”, Giovanni Antonini for “Il Giardino Armonico”, José Lopez-Banzo for “Al Ayre Español” and collaborates both as soloist and as leader with ensembles and orchestras like “New Seasons” (Albrecht Mayer), “Arte Musica” (Francesco Cera), “Zefiro” (Alfredo Bernardini), “La Risonanza” (Fabio Bonizzoni), “Elyma” of Geneva, “La Sfera Armoniosa” of Amsterdam, “Musica Aeterna” of Bratislava, “Collegium 1704” of Prague, “Assemblée des Honnéstes Curieux”, “Ensemble Kapsberger” (Rolf Lislevand), "Les Basses Réunies" (Bruno Cocset), “Orchestra Sinfonica dell’Ente lirico” of Cagliari, “Orchestra Sinfonica di S. Remo”. He has also worked with “Concerto Vocale” of René Jacobs, the piano-duo of Katia and Marielle Labèque, “Ensemble 415” of Chiara Banchini, in “duo” with the lute player Luca Pianca and playing also with Viktoria Mullova, Christophe Coin, Sergio Azzolini and Dmitry Sinkovsky.

From 2004 he regulary conducts the “Helsinki Baroque Orchestra”, of which he is the associate director since 2008, and the “Harmony of Nations Orchestra” with whom he debuted at the “Styriarte Festival” in Graz and the “Trigonale Festival” of Klagenfurt in 2007. In 2006 he was invited to conduct the opening concert of the “Camerata Strumentale Fiesolana”- the most recent formation created at the “Scuola di Musica di Fiesole” of Piero Farulli. In 2008 he worked with the “Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia” in Rome as concertmaster, and was invited by Kent Nagano to be the historical advisor for the “Montrèal Symphony Orchestra”, Canada. In 2009 he will return there to be his assistant and concertmaster at the next season of the “Belcanto Festival” of Knowlton.

Since 2005 he teaches chamber music at the “Conservatorio V. Bellini” of Palermo. He has also given violin and baroque orchestra Master-classes, and lectures in historical practice at the “Longy School of Music” in Cambridge (USA), the “Sibelius Academy” of Helsinki, the “Chinese Culture University” of Taipei (Taiwan), the “Kùks Residence” in the Czech Republic and at the “Scuola di Musica di Fiesole”. His recording of Biber’s Rosenkranz Sonaten published by “Arts” has been enthusiastically received by international press (Grammophone, FonoForum, Pizzicato, Musicweb International). He plays a violin made by Antonius & Hieronymus Amati in Cremona in 1627

Anna Fontana

Anna FontanaAfter graduating in pianoforte, she got an harpsicord degree with pride, at the Verona Conservatory. Thanks to a fellowship from the Dutch Government, she studied later on at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of The Hague, obtainig a “ Certificaat of Advanced Study”. She attendend then a four year course of harpsicord and basso continuo studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis
with Jesper B. Christensen and followed seminars with Bob van Asperen, Emilia Fadini, Andreas Staier.

She won prizes in national and international concourses both for harpsicord and chamber music She concertizes all over the world as soloist, in chamber music groups and in baroque orchestras.

She has played with Ensemble Aurora, Accademia per Musica, Cappella della Pietà dei Turchini, Ensemble Zefiro, Ensemble gli Incogniti, La Venexiana, Ensemble Café Zimmermann, taking part in important Ancient Music Festivals as: Festival di Musica Antica di Urbino, Musica e Poesia a S.Maurizio di Milano, International Haendel Festspiele Gottingen, Festival di Montreaux, Festival Cervantino Mexico City, Festival Sablè, Barokfest Munster, Vancouver Festival .

She is titled harpsicordist of the Orchestra Academia Montis Regalis di Mondovì, playing under the direction of B.Kuijken, J.Christensen, E.Gatti, J.Savall, M.Huggett, C. Rousset, A De Marchi etc.

She has recorded for various European Broadcasts and for the labels "Opus 111", "Agorà" , "Naxos”, "Capriccio", "La Bottega Discantica", “Arion”, “Zig Zag Territoire”, “Hyperion”.
