Dmitriy Sinkovsky

 

Dmitriy SinkovskyDmitry Sinkovsky was born in Moscow.  

While attending the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of Prof. Alexander Kirov (2001-2005), Dmitry combined his studies with tours to Europe, including meeting and having lessons with early music pioneer Maria Leonhardt. He also attended masterclasses with Thomas Zehetmair, Sigiswald Kuijken, Ryo Terakado, Roger Norrington and Andreas Staier.  In 2003 he was invited to join the chamber ensemble “Musica Petropolitana”  and orchestra “Pratum Integrum” with which he currently performs regularly as a solo violinist and  a singer.

Dmitry finished his postgraduate studies, completing a chamber music course with Prof. Alexei Lubimov.   
Dmitry is regularly invited to lead ensembles such as "Il Complesso barocco" (Alan Curtis, Italy), "Collegium Marianum" (Jana Semeradova, Czech Republic), "The Harmony of Nations " (Elisabeth Baumer, Austria) , "Bizzarie Armoniche" (Elena Russo, Italy), "Capriola Di Gioia" (Bart Naessens, Belgium), "La Claudiana " (Luca Pianca, Italy) and "Musica Antiqua Roma" (Riccardo Minasi, Italy). He has also performed as a member of the "Il Giardino armonico " (Giovanni Antonini, Italy) together with Cecilia Bartoli.


Dmitry is a laureate of various international competitions:

"Premio Bonporti" in Rovereto (second prize) Italy 2005,

 Leipzig Bach Competition in Germany (third prize) 2006,

“Musica Antiqua Brugge” in Belgium (first prize, audience prize, media prize) 2008,


”H.I.F von Biber Wettbewerb” in Austria (" Romanus Weichlein" prize,
prize for the best performance of Bibers Mystery sonatas) 2009


 “Telemann international competition” in Magdeburg (first prize), Germany 2011

In September 2009 Dmitry had the honour of being invited by the Dutch foundation “Jumpstart Jr.” to audition in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw for an international jury. As a result,  the foundation chose let him perform on an original Francesco Ruggeri violin made in Cremona in 1680 for several years to come.     
Since 2007  Dmitry, who possesses a unique countertenor voice, studies singing with Michael Chance in and Jana Ivanilova and regularly performs as a countertenor soloist.


Since 2005 Dmitry has been teaching violin in the Early Music Department of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
