The Rate choir was founded in Kuldiga in 1990. The choir has participated in many choral festivals and contents in:

• Chechio (Kradee - Krdove 1993);
• Hungary (Miskolz 1993);
• Germany (Gesthocht 1996, 1997);
• Spain (Barcelona 1996).
