2018

  • On December 12, 2018 the Centre of Competency Based Professional Education Liepaja Music, Art and Design Secondary School organizes Liepaja’s First International Piano Competition “Piano frequency”, with the aim to foster professional interest in classical values of piano music as well as in innovations of contemporary piano music in children and young people. The competition regulations are available for download in Latvian, English and Russian languages.

  • On November 23, 2018 Alfrēds Kalniņš Cēsis Music Secondary School, Support Fellowship of Alfrēds Kalniņš Cēsis Music Secondary School in collaboration with Municipality of Cēsis County and EPTA Latvia organizes the IX Alfrēds Kalniņš International Competition of Young Pianists. The competition regulations are available for download here.

  • On April 18 and 19, 2018 PIKC Liepāja Music, Arts and Design Secondary School organizes the V International Piano Ensemble and Instrumental Chamber Ensemble With Piano Competition for Young Pianists. Available for download are: regulations (LV) and application (LV), regulations (ENG) and application (ENG), regulations (RU) and application (RU).

  • From April 11 to April 13, 2018 the Society of Cultural Support of Daugavpils and Stanislavs Broks Daugavpils Music Secondary school in collaboration with the Culture Capital Foundation of Latvia organize the competition VIVA LA MUSICA for young soloists from music schools and music secondary schools – instrumentalists and vocalists. The competition is dedicated to Latvia’s Centenary. Regulations are available for download here (in Latvian) and here (in English).

  • On March 10, 2018 Jazeps Medins Riga 1st Music School in cooperation with Support Association of Jazeps Medins Riga 1st Music School organizes VIII International Brothers Medins Competition for Young Pianists. Competition regulations are available for download here (in English).

  • On March 9, 2018 Jelgava Secondary Music School in cooperation with the Latvian Piano Teachers’ Association organizes the 3rd International Competition for Young Pianists “Music Rainbow”. Competition regulations are available for download here (in English). Scores of compulsory pieces are available here (Group A), here (Group B) and here (Group C).

  • From February 21 to 23, 2018 Pāvuls Jurjāns Music School in collaboration with Riga City Council Education, Culture and Sports Department, Pāvuls Jurjāns Music School Support Society and Latvian Piano Teachers' Association organizes VII International Piano Competition "Young Virtuoso" Competition regulations, schedule and repertoire is available here.
