KAMERIDEA is the name used by two young Latvian musicians - pianist NATALIA DIRVUK and saxophoneplayer ROMAN MANUILOV
They formed their duo during studying in the LATVIAN ACADEMY OF MUSIC.
Since then the duo created and performed different programs of contemporary French, American, German, Danish and Japanese music. Especially popular was the performance of A.Pjazolla's works, arranged for saxophone and piano.
The duo performed in Latvia and also in different European different countries.
During those years KAMERIDEA participated in many musical competitions and in 1998 won the title of the best chamber music emsemble of Latvian Academy of music. In 2000 the duo won the first place in Staicele international saxophone competition, in 2001 second place in The Jurjan's international competition.

The duo cooperates with local and foreign composers who have created their pieces specially for KAMERIDEA, among them Imants Mezaraups, Svens Hvidfeld Nielsen, Indra Rise etc.
The duo KAMERIDEA also plays together with violinist
DENISS MITROKHIN and as a trio they participate in LETMARK project, which was established to promote cooperation between Latvian and Danish musicians.
The combination of instruments in the trio is rather unusual, nevertherless the trio succesfully performes musical compositions of various styles, special attention is paid to contemporary chamber music.
The repertoire of the trio includes their arrangments of famous pieces in baroque, classical and romantic styles.

Natalia Dirvuk was born in 1973 in Byelorussia. She graduated from J.Vitols Latvian Academy of Music in 1995 receiving the Bachelor of Music degree in piano solo, and in 1997 -- the Master of Arts degree, majoring in chamber ensemble. During her studying she regularly took part in the competitions of J.Vitols Latvian Academy of Music "Best Chamber Ensemble." She was the 1st prize winner at the International Chamber Music Competition "Jurmala '97" (Latvia), where she palyed in a piano trio. Natalia has participated in various chamber music concerts, competitions and festivals in Latvia, Germany, Denmark. She participates in numerous concerts, events and broadcasts with chamber ensembles, mostly in duo with saxophone player Roman Manuilov, and also as a piano soloist.

Roman Manuilov was born in 1974 in Donetsk, Ukraine. He graduated from J.Vitols Latvian Academy of Music in 1997, after studying under Prof. A.Simanis. In 1997 he received a grant from the Danish Rectors Conference and is currently studying at the Royal Danish Conservatory under Prof. Jorgen Bove Nielsen. In 1995 he won the 2nd prize at the competition of J.Vitols Latvian Academy of Music "Best Chamber Ensemble" and successfully participated in Motorola's Competition for Young Musicians. In 1996 he won the 1st prize at the 3rd A.Jurjans National Competition in Latvia. In 1999 he received a diploma at the International Saxophone Competition in Moscow, as well as became a laureate of the International Saxophone Competition in Staicele, Latvia, "Splendid Note." He is a member of Riga Saxophone Quartet. Together with pianist Natalia Dirvuk he performs saxophone chamber music in numerous concerts and broadcasts.
